India Exported Wheat to Several Countries during the Ban Period
Since the announcement of wheat ban on May 13 India has exported 1.8Million tonnes of wheat to “Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Israel, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Oman, Philippines, Qatar, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Switzerland, Thailand, UAE, Vietnam and Yemen” said MR. Pandey addressing a Ministerial Conference. Under the commitment made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Afghanistan of 50,000 tonnes 33,000 tonnes has already been exported.
